Sunday morning thoughts

Friday started out not so good.
Mr. Policeman said I was going 43 in a 30 and told me that I need to pay the city over $200.00! I didn't even try to notice if Mr. Policeman was cute or not.

Saturday I studied for a little bit in the morning. Exam date number two is April 20. Last chance to pass. UGH!

I used the Lowe's coupon that came in the mail to buy plants. Finally got the patio cleaned up and plants put out. This really lifted my spirits. My neighbor David came over, I threw some chicken boobs on the grill and we steamed some veges, had a little wine and enjoyed a low-key evening.

I'm reading an interesting book on the side called "The Way of the Small, Why Less is More" by Michael Gellert. Here's what I read this morning, "Happiness is less about feeling good than about an attitude of acceptance of life the way it is. Happiness comes from accepting what is, in contrast to pursuing what is not yet." If we practice the principle; "less is more, simpler is better" we eventually learn; "what is, is good enough."

If anyone asks, I can honestly say; "Yes I'm happy!" Things aren't perfect, things just are... and it aint't so bad.

First, the patio looks great! Second anyone named David has to be fabulous. Thridly the book sounds interesting. Maybe I should read it.
