The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever - DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.
Take two good friends to the nearest liquor store and purchase one or both of the antidotes - Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.
You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

I haven't talked about work very much because it's been the same old story as everywhere else, high stress!! I do count myself lucky that I have a job! I talked to a friend at the gym last night that just got laid off and I know there are many out there who have lost jobs. This has only created the high stress levels for those still employed.
I'm also experiencing a change in my job description, (besides doing double the work with less people!) I'm in banking and my new job requires that I get my securities Series 7 license. I wanted to get the license anyway, but having a deadline and the "you must pass to keep your job" part hanging over my head was not the way I would have liked it have gone down. Yesterday I got one step closer, I scheduled the day of my exam; March 10. Now I have a focus date! I can do this! I will pass!
I was laying in bed this morning thinking (wish I would've been sleeping though...) and I realize I have been very grouchy at work! But it's my fault if I'm miserable. The president of the company and those making these decisions won't listen to me anyway and won't change things to make it any better! So why complain? Why make myself and everyone around me miserable? I need to change my attitude, rise above the constant complaining I hear from coworkers and just accept what it is!
I used to have this saying I came up with posted at my desk at work:
Things I control: My diet, my happiness, my mood and attitude, my exercise and activity level.
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Things I can't control: Other people, their moods and attitudes, growing older, traffic and the weather.
GET OVER IT!

WORK is very overrated, please don't take WORK too seriously.
We spend so much time on the job, it can be a bummer when it's stressful. I admire that you can step back and look at it from a humorous and honest way. Also be glad right now to have a decent job! By the way, I really like that picture of you with the white shirt. You turned out to be a very nice looking guy from the puppy you were! LOL
