What is your favorite day of the week and why?

Sunday. It is a perfect day to sleep in and then wake up to a lazy morning; coffee on the patio or brunch with friends. Saturday would be my next choice, but not my favorite. Saturday mornings I usually wake up at the same time I have for the previous five days, and it takes a while to go back to sleep if I ever do. Then I like to do chores around the house and then get out to do shopping or out to do something. But Sunday mornings are more relaxed. If I was out drinking on Saturday night Sunday is the perfect day to just stay in bed and nurse that hangover... or enjoy the company of whomever it was that spent the night. I love snuggling with someone on a lazy morning.
I also love brunch, I could eat breakfast foods anytime of the day, but Sunday seems to be that perfect time to enjoy the meal and friend's company. Then after brunch, leisurly shopping, going to a movie or just hanging out is great!
If I'm out camping over a weekend, Sunday mornings are quiet. Sometimes you wake up with the sun and can lay there and enjoy the sounds of the birds. I love the smell of campfire, so I enjoy getting up, starting the fire and getting breakfast made. It will be a while before I break camp in the afternoon, so I like to go for a hike or play in a lake or creek.
There's a bar in Dallas that has an afternoon beer bust, beers are just 50 cents!! A nice way to hangout out with friends and meet new and interesting people. Then I usually start winding down in the evening, I don't let it bother me that I have to go back to work the next morning, I just enjoy the moment. I also change the sheets on my bed on Sunday and I love climbing into bed in clean, crisp sheets! Aaawwww....
Growing up Mormon, Sundays were not my favorite day! It was a day to go to church, the services for Mormons were three hours long. And the rest of the day we couldn't go shopping, watch TV or hangout with friends, it was the Lord's Day! It was to be a quiet day, a day to read scriptures and meditate. Even being around my sister's family Sundays were horrible, the kids were bored out of their skulls!! And would usually end up fighting. I'm glad those days are over! Of trying to live up to some impossible ideal. Sundays for me now are so much better!

For me it is Friday night.
It's the Jewish Sabbath and is always a lovely quiet time with my partner.
