5 Best Things about Nature

Saw this posted on another blog, but different subjects. So I'm really not stealing this... just borrowing the idea for my post. These are all pictures I took:

1. Dawn

I love the early mornings. The whole world is very peaceful and calm. I like to be outside, usually while camping, and just enjoy the quiet of mornings. The new day can be anything I want it to be.

2. Sunsets

I love the evenings when the sky fills with color. It has always been calming to me. I know that God is there and wants us all to enjoy the world. I can reflect on the day and just wind down and take time to think. Sunsets on the beach are very romantic.

3. Flowers

Flowers are here to bring beauty. And they come in such a variety. Whether they're observed in a field, in a vase or arrangement or a single flower, there is always beauty. But one must take the time to stop and notice it and breathe in their fragrance.

4. Storms

The air after a storm feels clean, washed and fresh. Storms remind me that there can't always be sunny days, we need storms to water the earth. Water sustains life. It also reminds me that there is more to the air around us, it's not 'nothing'. Its full of energy, wind and water. I love clouds that accompany storms.

5. Animals

Animals are never moody, they just go about their business and even seem very happy and playful. It reminds me to relax a little. Live life each day. Do what's necessary to live. But also enjoy life.

Actually, I have seen moody animals. On our farm there was a very depressed cow.

What beautiful pictures of sunrises and other things in nature.. I love sun sets (and have a picture of one I took on my blog) because it is the ending a another day. A little bitter sweet. My mother would always drag me out of the house when the sky was all rose or gold like it gets with some sunsets. I can't see a golden evening and not think of her. Once again, bitter sweet.
